Official start of the Summer of 2013

The 10th Annual Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show at Jones Beach, Long Island, New York.... a great photo op!!

Living within 5 or 6 miles of Jones Beach makes it a natural thing for me to grab my camera, a beach chair, bag lunch and head for the wide expanse of Jones Beach to photo the annual air show. Due to sequestration US Armed Forces were absent from this year's show. However, stunt pilots and commercial flying teams performed high-energy maneuvers showing off their piloting skills.

Take a look at a few of my photographs.

May 26, 2013 was a windy and blustery day on the South Shore!

The close proximity of Jones Beach to JFK International Airport, approx. 15 miles, test
one's depth perception between JFK commercial and show aircraft.
