A trip down memory lane
at the 2013 Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction
One of South Florida's Winter events that I am drawn to each year is the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction held at the South Florida Fair grounds in West Palm. This was the 11th Annual and was held April 4-6.
I love seeing the fully restored American cars of the 1930', 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. Over eight hundred sedans, convertibles, station wagons, trucks, were rolled on to the platform. The whole event is carried on the Fox network's SPEED channel.
I go with my camera and stroll through the tents.....come join me.
A 1939 Ford Custom convertible pewter color sold for $ 60, 500.
Vintage Ford hood ornament.
Chevrolet hood ornament.
Chevy tail light.
A 1930 Ford coupe, 2 door with a rumble seat. FYI, my parents first date, a blind date set up by friends was in such a car. Mom and Dad rode in the rumble seat. Sold for $ 17,600.
Connie's first car, a 1955 Bel Air Custom convertible in Harvest Gold and India Ivory with a two tone Neptune Green interior, sold for $ 68,200.
