Connie & Johnny - Recollections

Over the years, people have kept in touch with family and friends via visits, phone calls, cards, letters and more recently e-mails or text messages. We don't intend to abandon these ways of keeping in touch, However, we have come to the conclusion if we want to be on the same page as those close to us, i.e. our seven children, their spouses and the twelve grandchildren, we should launch a personal Internet blog where family and friends can see what we are up to. The birds are here again !

Late last week the local water district came in with an airboat and sprayed the marshlands or swamp behind our home with a herbicide to kill off the algae. This week the wading birds showed up in abundance. They can now see the small fish that they like to feed on, below the water surface.

It was a perfect birthday gift for me as I was out just before sunrise, perhaps a bit too early, to capture all the beauty with my camera. Enjoy ! Click on any photo and it will enlarge.
